Knowing God Through Wordsearch

Scripture Reveals Sovereign Commands to Obey

God is Sovereign.

God is the loving, supreme Ruler who has chosen to give us dominion over His creation. When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers &mbsp; the moon and the stars you set in place ? what are people that you should think about them, mere mortals that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority. . .Psalm 8:3-6 NLT  Understanding that God is omniscientDefinition: The word “omniscient” describes our Almighty God who is all-knowing, all-seeing, and infinite. This is one of His characteristics in which we can trust., and believing He has complete control over our lives should encourage us to trust and obey Him. Sovereignty should inspire our awe and worship.

Estimated Study Time

Plan about 2 to 3 hours of study time depending on your pace and mastering WORDsearch™ learning activities.

Ironically, often the more educated and technologically savvy we become, the less we are amazed about God. Rather than honor God as the Source of all knowledge, we often become like those “who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever”  (Romans 1:25 NKJV). Human nature tends to bristle at the idea that God knows all, and He commands our obedience. The concept chafes against our disposition to be independent and self-sufficient.

Your Abiding Relationship

Lesson 2 continues to focus on your abiding relationship with your Heavenly Father, the Eternal Sustainer and Creator of the universe. He loves you. He knows what is best for you and He is powerful enough to complete His purposes, yet He gives you the choice to trust and obey Him.

When you understand God’s heart and the true meaning of Sovereign, Command, and Obedience, you relax in His presence and grace. You know the goodness of His love and this YadaHebrew: “to know” by seeing, comprehending, discovering, and learning. knowledge changes your perspective of life.

“I (Jesus) am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. . . . Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”

(emphasis added) John 15:1-12 NKJV

Please click the John 15:1-12 link above and study Jesus’ illustration about the relationship between the vine and its branches. Particularly notice the Father’s motivation when He prunes, and your important response to abide and remain in relationship with Him so you can love others as He has loved you. We pray you will allow the Lord to daily reveal this truth and refresh you with His love, so you may help others know your Sovereign life-changing God.
