Scripture Reveals Truth Principles to Affirm

Estimated Study Time
Plan about 2 to 3 hours of study time depending on your pace and mastering WORDsearch™ learning activities.
Your Pathways in Life
How do you respond to God’s guidance when He reveals His best pathway or life mission for you? Do you trust Him and affirm His promises and truths in the Bible? Affirming God’s truth principles means choosing to agree with God that His word has priority and final authority over all other opinions and options in your life.
Another way you may view a pathway or multiple pathways is as a metaphor for God’s daily direction. When God reveals His choices to you, are you determined to follow His pathway?Righteousness will go before Him, And shall make His footsteps our pathway.Psalm 85:13 NKJV This involves surrendering your will, listening to His voice, and obeying Him. God is invested in relationship and oneness“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.John 17:20-21 NKJV with you. When you affirm His truth principles and trust Him to help you negotiate your pathwayHe is the God who makes me strong, who makes my pathway safe.Psalm 18:32 GNT safely, you will grow increasingly secure in the Lord.
Adventures Along Your Pathways
Adventures are opportunities to trust the Lord along your pathways. You may view a new adventure as a serendipity, and joyfully receive God’s goodness, or you may question God’s authority and guidance. How is it possible to mature in spiritual and emotional health when life is full of temptations, and uncertain or imposing pathways and adventures?
In Isaiah 55:6, Scripture commands you to seek the LordSeek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”(emphasis added)Isaiah 55:6-9 NLT and turn to God by affirming His thoughts and ways. Did you notice the context of these verses teach you to seek God so you may hear His voice? God wants you to understand His thoughts and follow His ways. Seeking the Lord is a daily process where you respond and obey His voice even in small issues, trusting He will work all situations and adventures for your good and His glory.
Truth Principles
Sincerely pray, and harmonize your words and actions with the word of God. Your teachable spirit honors the Lord because you are making this life declaration: “I know God, and He is changing my life for good.” Since God is Truth and there is nothing false or capricious in Him, you can trust His grace and love to sustain you through every life adventure.
Be brave! If God’s word is your priority, then you can confidently affirm His truths. Call to Him, anticipating His answer. He promises to be with you, rescue, deliver, and honor you!Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.Jeremiah 33:3 NKJVWhen he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.Psalm 91:15 ESV In this first lesson you will study three truth principles to help you abide in Him.Abide means to remain, dwell, continue, and stand.
