Scripture Reveals Your Response to Give

Your Response to the Lord — Faith
Estimated Study Time
Plan about 2 to 3 hours of study time depending on your pace and mastering WORDsearch™ learning activities.
In Lesson 1, we asked, “How is it possible to mature in spiritual and emotional health when life is full of uncertain, and sometimes dangerous pathways and adventures?” Together, let’s study Galatians 5 for God’s response to that question.
Galatians Chapter 5 clearly teaches that our daily responses and the fruit in our lives reveal our relationship with God, and our willingness to trust Him. Our faith-filled responses and actions, and our willingness to accept responsibility for our choices will determine our attitude and outcomes. Our faith in the Lord is based upon His character and His word, not our life challenges or our feelings. He loves us deeply, and He is Sovereign over every area in our lives. Jesus desires to guide our steps. Our faith responses to Him and His directions will promote or hinder our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health.
Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, . . . But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
Galatians 5:16-17; 22-25 ESV
